Digital X-rays
The Office of Orthopaedic medicine and Surgery is proud to offer state-of-the-art digital x-rays right at our facility.
Radiography, known to most people as x-ray, is the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging. X-rays are diagnostic images that have been created by passing small, highly controlled amounts of radiation through the human body, capturing the resulting shadows and reflections on a photographic plate.
Our computed radiology digital X-ray machine attains the same high quality pictures as film, but with lower doses of radiology. The digital X-ray machine allows us to enhance and manipulate the images with a computer to achieve a better understanding of your results. The images can be sent to other computer workstations to be viewed by multiple health professionals providing you with rapid results. Your images can also be saved electronically for our future reference.
