Tendonitis

Tendons are tissues that attach your muscles to your bones.  They can become swollen and sore from over use.  Repetitive movements and over use can cause the tendons to swell and become inflamed.  Splinting, rest, and medications can relieve the symptoms of tendonitis for some people.  However, surgery can remove the inflamed tissue and create a larger space for the tendons to move in.  The surgeons at the Office of Orthopaedic Medicine and Surgery are experts in accurately diagnosing and treating tendonitis.
