Alissa Telchin, PT, DPT —
Alissa Telchin, PT, DPT is originally from Brooklyn, NY and central NJ. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology in 2000. After graduation, she worked for a diagnostic company, but decided to go to physical therapy school in order to follow her passion to help people. Alissa moved to Philadelphia in 2004 to attend physical therapy school, graduating from Thomas Jefferson University in 2007 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She started her PT career in the hospital and inpatient rehabilitation settings. She switched to outpatient physical therapy to gain more experience with the orthopedic population, and Alissa moved to Washington DC in 2017. She began employment at Orthopaedic Medicine & Surgery in January 2018. In her free time, Alissa likes traveling, SCUBA diving, knitting, salsa dancing, and seeing movies, shows, and live music.
