Dr. Louis E. Levitt, MD

Louis E. Levitt, MD is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Board Certified Independent Medical Examiner with advanced training in orthopaedic trauma.  He received his Master’s Degree in Psychology from Boston University. Dr. Levitt attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia and completed his general surgery rotations and orthopaedic residency training at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore with a special interest in orthopaedic trauma.

Dr. Levitt is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the Medical Society of DC, Alpha Omega Alpha, Jacobi Society, and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Dr. Levitt has practiced in the Washington, DC area for over a decade.  He was named one of Washington’s top physicians by the Washingtonian Magazine and Check Book Magazine.

Dr. Levitt is a member of the teaching staff at Georgetown University and assistant clinical professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at George Washington University.  He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles.
