Louis E. Levitt, MD, FAAOS

LLouis E. Levitt, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with advanced training in orthopaedic trauma. He is also a board-certified independent medical examiner. Dr. Levitt received a master’s degree in psychology from Boston University and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic residency training, with a special interest in orthopaedic trauma, at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.

Dr. Levitt is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Medical Society of DC, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, Jacobi Society, and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Dr. Levitt has practiced in the Washington, DC area for over a decade. He was named one of Washington’s top physicians by the Washingtonian Magazine and Consumers’ CHECKBOOK Magazine.

Dr. Levitt is a member of the teaching staff at Georgetown University and assistant clinical professor in the department of orthopaedics at George Washington University. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles.
